Shinn at 3 p.m.: Trends give reason for hope

NORMAN — Oklahoma enters today's game coming off its first loss.

Two trends, however, seem to point toward the Sooners getting back on the winning track.

OU is 14-5 under coach Bob Stoops coming off a bye week. It's also 18-0 in games following a regular season loss and hasn't lost back-to-back regular-season games during Stoops' tenure.

Of course, the Sooners were coming off a bye week when it faced Kansas State, and Stoops always says what happened in previous seasons isn't a factor.
