5 charged with murder in death of Oklahoma man

TULSA (AP) — Three teenagers and two men have been charged with felony first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of a man during a home-invasion robbery in Tulsa.

Tulsa County prosecutors on Tuesday filed the murder count, a first-degree burglary count and an attempted armed robbery/robbery with a dangerous weapon count against Darrell Johnson, Uriah Mitchell and the others — two 18-year-olds and a 16-year-old.

In court documents, the five are accused of forcing their way into the home of William Zachary on Jan. 16 in an attempt to rob him. In the process, Zachary was shot in the face and later died.

The five remained in custody on Wednesday. Online court records didn't indicate if they had retained legal representation, and the court clerk's office said there were no attorneys on record.
