Statewide election activity officially begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, when the filing period opens.The filing period will continue until 5 p.m. Friday.
Candidates for state offices file with the Secretary of the State Election Board in Oklahoma City. Candidates for county offices file with the Secretary of the Mayes County Election Board in Pryor. Candidate filing forms and information for both state and county office-seekers is available on-line at www.elections.ok.gov . Click the “Elections” tab at the top of the homepage, then select “Candidate Filing.”
The following county offices will be filled this year: County Clerk, Court Clerk, Sheriff, and County Commissioner, District Two.
