Two senior Adair softball players have been selected All State by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.
First baseman Anna Crawford and shortstop Raven Campos will compete for the Middle East team in the All State games the second week of June at the Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
In a season that ended with a 28-9 record, Crawford and Campos put up record breaking numbers.
Crawford finished her last year with a .545 batting average, a .984 fielding percentage, eight homeruns (a school record) and 69 RBI.
Campos had a .487 batting average, a .978 fielding percentage, four homeruns, six triples and 16 doubles (a school record).
Neither of the two will end their days of competing at the high school level.
Crawford has signed with Neosho County junior college in Chanute, Kan.
Campos is still deciding between Rogers State University and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at Miami.
Adair Head Coach Chell Loooney said he told the girls last Wednesday.
“ They were really fired up to find out,” Looney said. “This was a goal of both of theirs.”
Looney said Campos and Crawford are numbers 34 and 35 All Stater’s to be listed on a dugout board at the field.
“Our players see this every day and it really gives them something to shoot for,” said Looney.
