WAGONER - Pryor was left in the cold Tuesday night shutout by the Wagoner basketball teams. The girls fell 41-17 while the boys left a tighter race at 58-52.
The Lady Bulldogs came out strong early, scoring on their first possession and leaving the Tigerettes scoreless for most of the first period. Mason Goforth put the Tigerettes on the board after grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring a field goal. Sammie Haff scored the other four points in the first period, two from the line and two from the field.
Wagoner outplayed Pryor in the second period as well, only allowing four points total from Brittany Stapleton and Haff while posting 13 for their side.
The third period was a tough one, drawing six of the game’s 13 fouls for the Pryor girls. The Tigerettes defense only allowed five points in the period from the Lady Bulldogs. Wagoner barked back the final period scoring 12 to Pryor’s three.
Stapleton, Goforth and Haff were the top shooters for Pryor with four points each.

Wagoner topples Tigers, 58-52
Missed shots hurt the Tigers Tuesday night. Pryor allowed eight points from the Bulldogs before Jordan Madole was able to sink a trey in the first period.
The Tigers missed 12 shots from the field and five from the line in the first half.
Wagoner outscored Pryor in the first period 24-10, but the Tigers fought back in the second with points from Matt Ogg, Parker Ballard and Devonta Carter to post a total of 15 ending the half with the Tigers behind by eight.
Ballard scored 9 points in the second period, forced two turnovers and made a steal in the second period.
The Tigers came back after the half strong, but could never get the lead from the Bulldogs.
They kept the scoreboard within 10 points and tied the game up with just over four minutes left in the game.
Pryor’s defense couldn’t stop the Bulldogs though, and Pryor faced foul trouble in the final minutes.
Stimson drew a technical, his fifth foul of the game with just over a minute left on the clock.
The Tigers had narrowed the lead to two points but the foul allowed the Bulldogs to widen that lead from the line by two.
Ballard led the way for the Tigers with 16 points. Madole had 14. Anthony Easily had 16 for Wagoner.
