Adair starts season with a sweep Wyandotte
ADAIR - The Adair Lady Warriors started this season like they ended last season - by winning.
Chelsey Stricklen scored 29 points as the Lady Warriors got past Wyandotte, 52-38.
Adair only needed three girls to score to get the win.
Chelsie Root added 13, while Tamara Harris finished with 10.
Adair led 12-7 after the first, then stretched their lead to double digits by the half, 28-17.
Wyandotte hung with the defending state champions in the second half, and didn’t let the lead get much bigger. Adair led 38-26 at the end of the third.
Post Kayla Oleman led Wyandotte with 15.

3 starters gone, less than a week of practice, Warriors still win
The Adair Warriors were playing without three starters, but it
didn’t matter as the Warriors came away with a 50-47 win over Wyandotte.
Heath Peper led the way for the Warriors as he had 17.
Marshall Timmons added 11.
The teams battled even in the first half, as it was 14-14 at the end of one, and Wyandotte led 24-22 at the half.
The Bears held the lead going into the fourth, 36-34, but Adair outscored Wyandotte 16-10 in the final quarter to get the win.
Dakota Sparks led Wyandotte with 18 and B.J. Burleson had 11.
Adair gets another game in before the Thanksgiving break Tuesday as they host Chelsea.
Tipoff for the girls game is 6:30 p.m.

Pryor makes history with 3A state title win
In 82 years of Oklahoma American Legion baseball, no one has done it. Well, no one except the Pryor Tigers. For the first time in Oklahoma American Legion baseball history, one town has collected the 2A and 3A state titles in the same year. The 3A Tigers made that official with 3-2 and 7-6 wins over Edmond Memorial Saturday.

It just took one inning to decide Salina’s fate Tuesday night at the Oklahoma American Legion 3A State Tournament. After scoring five runs in the bottom of the fourth, Claremore responded with six runs in the top of the fifth to capture a 6-5 win.

The Three Rivers 2A League Tournament got off to a rocky start Monday for the 2A Pryor Tigers.
