TULSA - The Pryor Tigers’ season came to an end Friday night to the hands of the East Central Cardinals, 31-7.
Things didn’t start off well for the Tigers, as they fumbled on the first play from scrimmage.
Jaimon Gilstrap took advantage of it, scoring on a 1-yard run and the Cardinals quickly led 7-0.
East Central looked poised to score again a few minutes later, but a bobbled snap on a field goal kept Pryor down by just a score.
Chakeal Armstrong got the Cardinals another score early in the second on a 36-yard run, putting East Central up 14-0.
But Pryor struck back. After digging their way out of bad field position from the seven, Dakota Cox scored on a 49-yard run to get the Tigers back in it.
Matt Ogg added the extra point, and Pryor was just down by a score.
The Cardinals answered with an 8-play, 68-yard drive that was capped off by another Armstrong touchdown.
At the half, East Central led 21-7.
The Cardinals controlled the second, outscoring the Tigers 10-0 in the third.
Neither team scored in the fourth.
East Central moves on to play Guthrie in the second round.
Guthrie upset Duncan, 21-12.
