The seventh grade Pryor Tigers are off to a good start this season. They opened the season with a 14-0 victory over Miami. Keegan Yates and Kelvin Grubbs both scored on 4-yard runs. Pat Yates hit Grubbs for the 2-point conversion.
Thursday, Pryor beat Locust Grove 28-6. Alex McCammon returned the opening kickoff 60 yards for a touchdown. Grubbs caught a pass from David Guinn for the 2-point
conversion.
Grubbs scored on runs of 45 yards, five runs and eight runs. He also had a 2-point conversion run.
The Tiger defense is led by Kyle Goforth, Ronnie Coffman, Will Stover and Hunter Neighbors. Lance Livingston and Ryan Northcutt had big hits in the game against Locust Grove.
The Tigers open at home tonight against Vinita.
