PRYOR — Despite trailing much of the game, the 3A Pryor Tigers came away with a 7-2 win over Hilldale Tuesday.

Hilldale jumped on Pryor’s Shane Holloway with two runs in the first inning, but couldn’t manage any more against him the rest of the game.

Pryor was not able to get on the board until the bottom of the fourth.

Dalton Murphy led things off with a single to left then moved to second on a passed ball.

Brett Mitchell traded placeswith Murphy with a RBI double to get the Tigers within one run, 2-1.

The Tigers tied things up in the bottom of the fifth.

Ryan Hendricks got on base after getting hit by a pitch then stole second.

Rowdy Dove did the rest with a RBI single to knot it up at 2-2.

Pryor finally got things rolling in the bottom of the sixth with a little help from Hilldale.

A hit batsman and a walk started things off.

After a strikeout, another hit batsman loaded the bases.

That led to Hendricks 2-RBI single. After another hit batsman, Dove came through with a sacrifice fly.

Two wild pitches scored two more runs in the inning for the Tigers to make it 7-2.

Holloway got Hilldale down 1-2-3 in the seventh to cap off the complete game.

Hilldale was coached by former Adair Warriors Head Coach Travis Bryant.
