Pryor heads into Tuesday’s Tahlequah game, fresh off a three-game winning streak.
After a slow start (1-3) from the Mayes County squad with high preseason expectations, potential has *begun to materialize.
Their 4-3 record indicates the tide is turning.
In each of the Tigers recent triumphs, team-strengths have grown.
A five-point victory on the road over Fort Gibson began the streak.
A 57-35 blowout-win over visiting Collinsville the following week served as a defensive turning point, according to Head Coach Greg Arnold.
“Our entire intensity level was higher on defense, which carried over to offense,” Arnold said.
A one-point, overtime win at Skiatook last week required Pryor to battle back from a double-digit deficit.
The Tigers performance revealed a team capable of unrelenting mental toughness, a trait deserving attention from future opponents.

A 2-4 Tahlequah team is winless at home this year.
Though Pryor’s newly achieved, one-game above .500 status overshadows the Tiger’s 2-4 record, common-opponent statistics suggest the game may be closer than anticipated.
Both teams suffered high-margin losses to Bishop Kelley and dominating wins over Collinsville.
Pryor escaped Skiatook by one point, while only four points kept Tahlequah from a notch in their win column against the Bulldogs.
Tuesday, a Pryor team in the process of a successful turn-around will face an opponent on the road who is looking to develop a similar identity.
