After beating Fort Gibson to begin the Inola Invitational Tournament, Pryor lost by three points to Verdigris.
Before the game, head coach Greg Arnold said keeping Verdigris to a low three point percentage would be key for a Tigers victory.
Verdigris’ staple of success early in the season has become solidified through a tireless attack from three point land.
The Verdigris Cardinal's offensive strategy did not deviate from their effective formula which has heavily contributed to a 4-0 record early in the season.
Verdigris dropped 12 three-pointers, mostly contested by a hungry Tiger defense. While 12 three’s by a team might signal and insurmountable lead for an opponent, Pryor went tit for tat from downtown causing lead changes as common as three pointersPryor.

Baumert wasn’t done dropping three point bombs, as his first attempt of the third indicated a hot hand was only heating up.
Vinita and Pryor did adequate jobs of crashing the boards.

Verdigris Senior Chase Bryant’s consistent shooting streak beckoned passes from teammates.
Ross answered with consecutive threes followed and a spin-move for two. As time dwindled game-flow suggested a victory would belong to the team with the last possession.
Pryor sophomore Derick Fraley hit a clutch three from the top of key with 30 seconds, and Verdigris was up by one.
Fraley squared up for the game winning three as the clock expired, but the C’s escaped with the win.
