Area teams from classes 2A, 3A and 4A are preparing for the high school state track meets this weekend in Ardmore.
Adair’s boys and girls placed second and third, respectively, Saturday at the Class 3A regional at Pawhuska.
Lincoln Christian won boys and girls team titles at Pawhuska.
Locust Grove competed in the 4A regional at Oologah, Salina was in the field at Pawhuska along with Adair, and Chouteau was in the 2A meet at Oologah.
Vinita’s boys and girls took home team championships from the 4A competition at Oologah.
Teams earned points at the regional for the top six finishes in each event. The top three finishers in each event qualify for the state meet that opens Friday. The next four best performances from fourth-, fifth- and sixth-place finishers from all regionals also qualify.
