Soccer playoffs near for Pryor

Pryor’s boys and girls have road trips scheduled this week when the Class 5A high school soccer state playoffs begin.

Both teams face stiff competition.

The boys will travel to Tulsa to take on Cascia Hall Tuesday. Cascia Hall won the 4A state championship last year, but was moved up one classification by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.

In last week’s OkRankings.com poll of coaches, Cascia Hall was ranked fourth with a 10-3 record. Pryor was unranked at 5-5.

The Pryor girls have a Tuesday date at Skiatook. The Pryor girls fell out of the Top 10 last week after suffering their third straight loss.

In Skiatook, they are paired against the No. 4 team in Class 5A. Skiatook is 10-3. Pryor is 6-3.
