The Lady Warriors pulled away in the second half to defeat Locust Grove 52-33, and move on to the finals of the Pryor Invitational Tournament.
Adair went on an 11-3 run to start the game.
Sophomore Kylie Looney hit a three- pointer early, and found her way to the rim throughout the quarter. Junior Bailey Stephens made good on a free throw to complete a three-point play.
Senior Raven Campos struck from downtown as well in the opening period.
However, a 10-point Adair lead evaporated as Locust Grove fought back in the second.
Five Lady Pirates scored in the second to seize momentum.
LG senior Bailey Holman hit a three late in the quarter, and sophomore Kennedy Sokoloski was aggressive defensively in the paint, delivering a strong block.
The teams headed to the locker room tied at 19.
A 12-2 Adair run in the first three minutes of the third signaled a loss for Locust Grove.
Adair junior’s Molly Kerr and Rendi Rogers had two three’s apiece to create a 43-26 lead after three quarters.
Adair faces Vinita in the finals Saturday at 6:15 p.m.
