SKIATOOK — The Pryor girls came ever so close to ending a couple of streaks Tuesday night.
But they were stopped short.
Skiatook scored in a shootout and eliminated Pryor, 1-0, in the first round of the high school soccer state tournament.
Pryor suffered a first-round playoff loss for the fourth straight year.
After winning its first six games of the season, Pryor dropped its last four and finished with a 6-4 record and at No. 7 in the OkRankings.com poll of coaches.
Of Pryor’s final three defeats, two were in overtime and the third, on Tuesday, came down to a shootout following a scoreless overtime.
No. 4 Skiatook advances into the second round with an 11-3 record. Skiatook will play at home Thursday against No. 2 Tulsa Washington.
