PRYOR - 5A No. 7 Pryor banged out 14 hits in just four innings in a 13-2 rout of Miami Tuesday.
After a scoreless top of the first, Pryor scored eight runs in the bottom of the inning to stop the game before it really started.
Dalton Murphy singled to center.
After moving to second on a failed pick off attempt, Shane Holloway hit a long fly ball that made its way up into the jet stream and plunked off the top of the wall and tumbled over for his first home run.
P.J. Stimson singled to center and Zekke Stump got on with a walk.
Back-to-back errors brought in a run for the Tigers, and Tatyn Fee brought in two with a RBI double.
Blake Heston followed with a RBI single, and Murphy brought in a run with a groundout.
Holloway got his third RBI of the inning with a RBI single.
After that onslaught, Miami was able to regroup and put two runs on the board and hold Pryor scoreless in the bottom half.
The Tigers picked up another run in the bottom of the third with a Heston RBI single, bringing in Fee.
Pryor shut the door in the fourth.
Stump hit a RBI double, followed by a Ryan Hendricks RBI single.
Heston got another RBI with a double, and Murphy followed with one of his own to wrap up the scoring.
Chris Ashley got the win on the mound, going all five innings and striking out five.
Pryor plays at 6A No. 15 Bixby Thursday, 5 p.m. and will go to the Gulf Shores Tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala. for spring break.
