Copan: July 3. Elevation normal, water mid-80s and clearing. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 3-5 ft. from boats around the lake and from the new fishing dock at Copan Point. Ft. Gibson: June 30. Elevation normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures and plastic baits at 10-20 ft. early and late. Catfish good on trotlines and drifting cut bait and shad at night. White bass good on white spinnerbaits and small crankbaits around the windy points. Crappie fair on minnows at 15-20 ft. Greenleaf: July 3. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and bill baits along shorelines, creek channels, rocky points and brush structure. Catfish fair on stinkbait, cut bait and liver on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around fishing docks and brush structure. Hudson: July 3. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits early and late and on plastic baits at 15-30 ft. along creek channels and structure at midday. Hulah: July 3. Elevation normal, water clearing. Crappie on minnows and jigs at 6-8 ft. Catfish fair on cut shad and worms below the dam. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.

Kaw: July 1. Elevation normal, water 89 and clearing on the lower end of the lake and murky in the upper end. White bass and striped bass hybrids good on the Ponca hump and sandy beach by the dam. White bass good on spoons, rattletraps and slabs below both bridges that cross the lake. These fish are easily caught trolling; once located you can anchor and cast to the schools. Blue catfish good on any live or fresh cut bait at 10-20 ft. on the entire lake. Shad are easily caught in the Coon Creek area with a cast net. Noodlers are having good luck around the rocky areas of the lake. Report submitted by Larry Green, game warden stationed in Osage County.

Lower Illinois: July 2. Elevation normal, water 47 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures all along the river. White bass fair on jigs and spinnerbaits at 1-2 ft. all along the river. Striped bass fair on plugs at 1-3 ft. at the mouth of the river. Channel catfish excellent on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Crappie fair on jigs and spinnerbaits at 1-3 ft. all along the river. Trout excellent fly fishing the surface, on rooster tails and on Power Bait on bottom from the dam to Gore Landing. Oologah: June 30. Elevation normal, water 70s and muddy. Blue catfish fair on juglines baited with shad at 10-15 ft. White bass fair trolling shad colored crankbaits at 10 -12 ft. on flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10-12 ft. around standing timber. Largemouth bass fair on soft plastics at 5-8 ft. White bass fair on jigs below the dam. Blue catfish fair on shad below the dam. Webbers Falls: July 3. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on buzz baits, crankbaits and jig-and-worm along riprap and brush structure.
