Tigers pick up two wins
PRYOR - The Pryor Tigers picked up two wins Saturday in a split double header with Muldrow and Oologah.
The Tigers beat Muldrow, 8-3, then knocked off Oologah, 3-2.
In the opener, Pryor picked up two runs in the second, four in the third and two in the fourth. Muldrow kept the game alive with two runs in the fifth and picked up a run in the sixth.
Rowdy Dove had a big day, going 3-for-4 with his second home run of the season, two doubles and three RBIs. Dalton Murphy was 2-for-4 with a RBI. Blake Heston was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Zekke Stump was 1-for-2 with a RBI.
Shane Holloway got the win, going five innings with four strikeouts.

Pryor squeaked by Oologah in the second game, 3-2 with a run in the sixth inning. Oologah took a 2-0 lead in the second, and Pryor matched that in the bottom of the fourth. The Tigers picked up the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
Christian Doty picked up the only Tiger RBI. Ryan Hendricks was 2-for-3.
Tatyn Fee got the win, going six innings and striking out eight. Chris Ashley struck out two in the seventh to pick up the save.
Pryor is now 4-0. The Tigers play Miami Tuesday, 5 p.m.

Pryor makes history with 3A state title win
In 82 years of Oklahoma American Legion baseball, no one has done it. Well, no one except the Pryor Tigers. For the first time in Oklahoma American Legion baseball history, one town has collected the 2A and 3A state titles in the same year. The 3A Tigers made that official with 3-2 and 7-6 wins over Edmond Memorial Saturday.

It just took one inning to decide Salina’s fate Tuesday night at the Oklahoma American Legion 3A State Tournament. After scoring five runs in the bottom of the fourth, Claremore responded with six runs in the top of the fifth to capture a 6-5 win.
