Nathan Henry Knott was born on April 24, 1937, in Locust Grove, to Willie Glen and Amy Lois (Throop) Knott. He died Friday, in Tulsa.
Knott graduated with the Locust Grove High School class of 1955. He attended NEO in Miami for some time where he was on the Livestock Judging Team. He was a contest high individual at Ft. Worth, Texas. Knott served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an oilfield driller superintendent, living overseas in Scotland, Saudi Arabia and Norway, for over 25 years.
Knott enjoyed rodeos and horse races. He was an owner and trainer of race horses. He had also spent some time as a calf roper. He enjoyed watching P.B.R. and held the title as the families T.V. guide, calling everyone when there was something good to watch. Knott enjoyed time with his great nieces and nephews.
Knott is survived by; three brothers, Dale Knott and wife Margie of Pryor; Jerry Knott and wife Glinda of Locust Grove; and John Knott of Locust Grove; two sisters, Katherine Ellison and husband Ken of Creede, Colo.; and Alice Saffell of Locust Grove; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Knott was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, David Knott and Bill Knott; and one sister, Donna Knott.
