Obituary: Iva Lee Worley

Funeral services for Iva Lee Worley, 92, Pryor, are 11 a.m. Monday, at Stephens Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ray Gwartney will officiate and burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Worley was born Oct. 23, 1919 in Pryor to J.C. and Neva (Hurt) Shearer. She died Sept. 8 in Pryor.

Worley was a graduate of Pryor High School, and spent most of her life in Pryor. She was one of the many women supporting our military troops during World War II as a welder in the shipyards. Worley served as a tag agent in Pryor for many years. She was also the owner of K&W Dress Store. She was married to Howard Worley on Aug. 20, 1938, in Vinita; he preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2003.

She is survived by son Howard Worley, Jr. and wife Marj of Tulsa and Robert Worley and wife Rhonda of Tulsa. Grandchildren Piper Bain and husband Alan, Todd Worley and wife Sarah, Jennifer Garcia and husband Roman and Michael Worley all of Tulsa, great grandchildren Ava Kichmer, Lola Bain, Georgia Bain, Alex and Wes Worley, Tatum Starr, Roman Garcia, Mekiella Garcia and Gia Garcia.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Stephens Memorial Chapel.
