Obituary: Michael Dexter “Dex” Brown

Michael Dexter “Dex” Brown, 24,Tulsa, formerly of Pryor, died Saturday in Tulsa. He was born on Oct. 7, 1987 in Tulsa, the son of Robert Brown and RoseMary (Wallace) Brown. He moved from Wagoner in 1995 with his father, Robert, and attended Pryor Public Schools until his graduation in 2006.  He graduated from TU in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.  After graduation, he went to work for Associated Resources as a Landman. He loved life and all its adventures. He loved dirt biking with his father in Colorado. It was hard to figure out if he admired his father more or if his father admired him more. They had a wonderful father/son relationship that is rarely seen in this day and time. He loved anything about motorsports, diesel truck racing, boat racing, motorcycle racing and especially was proud of his new BMW that he recently purchased.   His big smile and warm hugs greeted everyone. He was  special, loving, caring, adventurous, intelligent, fun and always there for anyone who needed him. For someone so young, he knew and interacted with thousands of people from all walks of life.  Probably most importantly was his relationship with his Lord. There is no doubt that heaven has gained one of earth’s most precious. He will be so very missed by all  who knew and loved him so much.

Funeral services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., in the First Baptist Church of Pryor with the Rev. Wendell Lang and the Rev. Todd Fannin officiating.
