Russell Lewis Maner, 76, died Wednesday in Salina. He was born on April 13, 1936. He married Bertha Ann Douglas on Jan. 25, 1957 in Pryor, who preceded him in death. He married Ada Walden Perry on Dec. 20, 1984. He enjoyed fishing, picking flowers, bird watching and helping people. He retired from Auto Springs in Tulsa, where he worked as a diesel mechanic.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church, Pryor, with Reverend Raymond Shann officiating. Interment will be in the Hogan Cemetery, Locust Grove, with Kevin Mangus, Keith Mangus, Stephen Habibi, Thomas Butler, Cody Maner, and Randy Bilyeu serving as casket bearers. Honorary Casket bearers will be John Habibi, Joshua Ward, Timothy Bilyeu, Ben Garrett, Shawn King and Travis Messimore. Visitation is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Ada Maner, sons, Perry Odell Maner and wife Janie of Chouteau, Edward Paul Maner & Peggy Sue Croft of Pryor, Randall Bilyeu and wife Donna of Bristow. Daughters, Margaret Mangus and husband Mike of Chickasha, Patricia Ann Habibi and husband Joseph of Dearborn, Mich., Janet Ward and husband Fritzy of Pryor, Linda Butler of Claremore and Joseph Miller of Pryor. Sisters, Virginia Estes, of Enid, Louise Estes, of Enid, Bertie Moore and husband Jerry of Enid. Gertie Maner of Enid; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bertha Ann Maner, Dec. 31, 1983. Brothers, Burgess Maner, Luther Maner, Claude Wayne Maner, Hershell Maner, G.P. Maner, Jessie Maner and Jimmy Maner.
