Black Friday shopping begins Thursday

Black Friday comes early this year.

A few Pryor retailers have chosen to be open Thanksgiving evening and one has chosen to be open Thanksgiving Day. Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving and the official kickoff of the Christmas shopping season. It is called Black Friday because retailers traditionally make a profit for the first time of the year, making them “in the black” financially.  

Stage and Sears in Pryor will open Thanksgiving evening at 8 p.m. until midnight. Sears will open Friday at 4 a.m. and stay open until 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to

6 p.m., Sunday hours are noon until 5 p.m.

Stage will open on Black Friday at 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sharpe’s will open on Black Friday at 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday Sharpe’s will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. until Christmas.

Ivan’s Jewelry will open Black Friday from

9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Madalan’s Hallmark store in Pryor will open Black Friday at 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Tractor Supply on Highway 69 opens for Black Friday at 6 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. The store will be open Saturday 8 a.m. until

9 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Orscheln’s Farm and Home store will be open Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  Black Friday 6 a.m. until 7 p.m., Saturday

from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Orscheln’s is having a Black Friday sale from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Bass Pro Shops stores will open at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day. The Bass Pro Shops five-day sale with over 40 Red Hot specials will start Wednesday. The Thanksgiving tradition continues on Black Friday with “six-hour only” deals starting at 5 a.m and concludes Saturday and Sunday with free drawings, giveaways to the first 100 customers, up to $100 cash back in Bass Bucks and an ability to donate in-store to Toys for Tots.
