PRYOR —
Pryor High School class of 2000 graduate Mark Garrett graduated the Oklahoma City Police Department Academy Dec. 6.
Garrett started training May 25 of this year and completed the 28-week training course.
Joe Garrett is a retired Pryor Police Officer, and Mark’s father. This proud father got to pin the badge on his son as Oklahoma City Police Chief, William Citty, officiated the ceremony.
Mark Garrett is a third generation police officer. His brother, Scott Garrett, is also an officer with the Pryor Police Department.
Coincidentally, Garrett’s badge is #1807. His father’s badge for 25 years was #18. Frank Cantey, who is like an uncle to Garrett, is badge #7.
Garrett is joining the Oklahoma City Police Department, as he lives there with his wife and two children.
