Audition for "The tortoise versus the hare”

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE on Monday, June 4th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Herschel Avra Performing Arts Center (Pryor High School Auditorium). Those auditioning should check in by 9:30 AM and plan to stay for the full two hours. No late arrivals will be admitted.  Most of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are the wise Tortoise, Coach Shelley Bowlback , the conceited Curly Hare, Esther and her daughter Little Bonnie Bunny, the rascally Weasels, the singing service station Ferrets and the scaly Reptiles.  Other roles include the Thespian Troupe, Curly’s Posse, the TV Crew and the rowdy Curly Hare Fan Club.  Students entering 1st through 12th grade are encouraged to audition.  No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week with additional workshops also offered during the week.

THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE will be presented on Friday, June 8th, at 7:00 PM at the Hershel Avra Performing Arts Center.  There is a participation fee of $25 per child, with the performance offered free to the public. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Pryor is presented locally by the Pryor Area Arts and Humanities Council (PAAHC).
