Pryor Police will file charges Monday against a man after he confessed to exposing himself to several women at various businesses in the area.
Darrell Bryan Honaker, 48, Virginia, was arrested Friday on drug related charges. During an interview with Detective James Willyard, Honaker confessed to the sex crime.
“He moved to Pryor on Jan. 15. The first incident was on Jan. 19,” Willyard said.
There were two incidents on that day. Honaker alledgedly exposed himself to two women at one location on Highway 69. After gaining their attention by knocking on the window, he began masturbating in front of them.
“He knocked on another business on Adair Street after that,” Willyard said. The woman didn’t see anything however.
On Jan. 20, there were two more incidents. All of the
incidents occurred just after dark, around 7 p.m., Willyard said.
“On Jan. 22, he exposed himself to a lady at Braum’s, but he was wearing a ski mask then,” he said. “Then on Jan. 26, he exposed himself again at a business on Northeast First, again wearing a ski mask.”
Willyard said all victims gave similar clothing descriptions on what he was wearing.
On Feb. 2, Patrolman Kenny Bennett observed a man on a bicycle meeting the description of the wanted man.
On Feb. 3, Officer Scott Garrett, Corporal Justin Couch and Sergeant James Blower had contact with Honaker again.
“They advised Detective Steve Lemmings that he fit the description,” Willyard said.
A search warrant was executed at 510 S. Coo-Y-Yah, at the home where Honaker had been
staying.
The search yielded methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
“We also found clothing that fit the description given by the victims,” Willyard said.
Honaker’s photo was included in a photo
lineup, and the clothes were displayed for
identification.
“Several of the victims were able to identify either the clothing or the
suspect,” he said.
Honaker was arrested on the meth possession charge. During Friday’s interview, he confessed to the exposure.
Honaker is originally from Virginia. He has a variety of previous charges dating back to the 1970s.
Priors include drug charges, breaking and entering, urinating in
public, firearm possession (AFCF) and indecent exposure.
Honaker is being held in the Mayes County Jail on a $50,000 bond for the drug charges.
“I will be submitting paperwork to the District Attorney’s office on Monday to include multiple counts of indecent exposure,” Willyard said.
