Commissioners approve photographs

Mayes County Commissioners approved an amendment to an agreement with Pictometry International Corp. for Imagery Flight and Change Detection.

Instead of waiting another year to have photographs taken of the county, this amendment allows Pictometry to take photographs from December through March and to have more updated aerials of the land and properties. It would cost $63,074 for the second flight and $10,018 for the change finder, which would pinpoint what has changed in Mayes County in the last year.

Commissioners approved the amendment and discussed the possibility of the software’s use with other county entities including Mayes Emergency Services Trust Authority and the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office.

In other business, the commissioners:

• Approved a cooperative extension services agreement for the Oklahoma State University Extension Building for $46,660.

• Approved a deposit of $21,068 and $1,816 from District 3 into T-County Highway Funds.

• Approved a reappropriation of $480 for JDCR in cash accounts.

• Approved two utility crossings for District 1; one for Rural Water District 6 and one for a rancher northwest of Adair for water lines.

• Approved considerations of claims for payment.

• Approved requests for blanket purchase orders.
