Locust Grove PWA Board of Trustees members voted to approve the surplus of two vehicles and several miscellaneous scrap metal items at their regular meeting Monday night.
A Dodge Dakota pickup and a Jet Rodder truck will be filled with various other pieces of scrap metal. Bids will be taken to purchase of the trucks.
If no acceptable bids are received, the items will be scraped.
In other business, trustees voted to approve a request by Portable Restrooms of Oklahoma to dispose of waste at the town’s wastewater treatment plant at a cost of $45 a load.
PWA trustees voted to approve a new “up to date” drug policy for employees.
Also approved was a proposal for geotechnical services for the treatment plant. The trustees approved the expenditure, not to exceed $3,500. Terracon, of Tulsa, will provide those services for the town.
Finally, trustees approved a Water Conservation Ordinance. The new ordinance will provide the town with some recourse if water conservation requirements are ignored by citizens.
