CHOUTEAU —
The newly formed Wickliffe PTO worked building a float for the Chouteau Day Parade in Salina. The theme was Wickliffe Soaring to New Heights. The group’s float was a mountain top made of tissue paper with a 3 ft bald eagle perched on top of the mountain surrounded by a ring of clouds (created with bales of hay and cotton fill). Students dressed up to represent different professions as well as their Wickliffe Pride!
The float was designed to symbolize the importance of setting high goals and achieving your best…eagles represent power…within each of us lies the power to do our best.
“In this age of “Creativity” we are preparing students for careers that we aren’t even aware of”, said Superintendent Pullen. “This means it is more important than ever to ensure our students are well rounded and have many opportunities to experience life. It is definitely our mission to take the students of Wickliffe to New Heights!”
The Wickliffe PTO would like to thank everyone who helped make their float a success!!!
