Gary Pruett, general manager of Pryor Municipal Utility Board, was elected chairman of the Grand River Dam Authority Customer Group meeting. Pruett reported on teleconferences with members of the GRDA Customer Group and GRDA’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Easley.
Pruett reported the sewer inspection van is tagged. Pruett met with Fuller Signs to design lettering for the van.
MUB sewer personnel had training last week on the new sewer camera van.
Building inspector Walter Stout attended the City of Pryor’s floodplain meeting Dec. 10. He reported on changes at a restaurant on South Highway 69 which is served by MUB.
Ray Murray, MUB engineer, received the report from Department of Environmental Quality for the westside water tower project. Murray responded to the eight issues included in the report and returned the report for plan approval.
MUB gas crews completed the replacement of a 2-inch gas line between North Vann and North Rowe from Northeast First to Northeast Fifth.
Gas workers are replacing a 2-inch gas line between Locke Street and Harris Street from Park to Southeast Second Street. The line will also run one block on Southeast Second Street. The crew will begin digging the week after Christmas.
Gas crews have completed MUB’s valve maintenance, system wide. In all, the valves were in better shape than usual. The crew had a list of valves to clean out or straighten.
On North Coo-Y-Yah, water workers are replacing a 4-inch cast iron water line with 6-inch PVC. The line runs from Graham Avenue to Northeast Fourth Street. The crew is adding fire plugs as well and work continues on this project.
The water crew is replacing a 2-inch steel water line on South Veyda with 8-inch PVC, along with fire plugs.
New water taps were made and meters set at 220 Fairview Street and 2 Ranch Acres Road.
The electric crew changed out two transformers at 400 N. Taylor and at Meadow Trace Apartments. The crew repaired an underground light at Thurman and Magnolia and worked on a line change-out between Vann and Rowe in the North unit block.
