Salina-Spavinaw Telephone Co. calls for student artists
Student artists in Salina-Spavinaw Telephone’s service area have until Monday, Dec. 14, to submit entries to the company’s sixth annual student poster contest. This year’s theme is “SST Loves Life in the Country.”
Posters must be submitted to either SST’s Kansas business office by 4 p.m. or its Salina office by
5 p.m. on Dec. 14. The contest features two age divisions — K through sixth and seventh through 12th — with three places awarded in each division. Prizes will be distributed in January. Last year, SST awarded $875 in cash prizes to 20 winners and honorable mention recipients. Nearly 250 students participated.
A winning poster will be featured on SST’s 2010 telephone directory. All winning posters will be featured in the SST Connection, a newsletter distributed to thousands of SST customers. In addition, all winning and honorable mention posters will be featured in the directory, on SST’s Web site, www.sstelco.com, and in its business offices.
The contest is open to all students who live in or attend school in SST’s service territory, including homeschooled students. Entry forms and rules can printed off SST’s website.
