Mayes County Commissioners approved a close-out certification for the water line expansion with Rural Water District 5.

Tami McKeon of Grand Gateway said Monday that construction has been completed on the water line. Commissioners approved the certification of completion in the regular meeting Monday.

The extension of the water district will serve the Greer area, most of which is in Rogers County. The extension included approximately 16,000 linear feet of 10-inch water line, 28,400 feet of 6-inch water line, 20,000 feet of 4-inch water line and 5,300 feet of 3-inch water line.

The total project cost was $643,850. Grand Gateway gave a Community Block Development Grant of $250,000 on the project. RWD 5 put in a grant of $393,850 to match the CBDG and other funding.

District 3 received $54,029.96 from Oklahoma Emergency Management. District 2 received $315.69 for insurance on a former employee.

Commissioners junked some old computer pieces in the county clerk’s office. County Clerk Rita Littlefield said the items include a server, scanner, three computers and three monitors.

The commissioners approved an annual agreement with the OSU Extension office at Mayes County Fairgrounds.

A utility crossing was approved for a Rural Water District 4 water line extension in District 1.
