The City of Pryor’s street department worked on the following projects during the week of Oct. 19-23. The report was submitted to The Daily Times by Buddy Glenn.
The street workers trimmed alley ways on the west and northeast sides of town.
Four employees came in Wednesday night to set up barricades for possible flooding. The men also checked to insure the drains would allow proper water flow.
Thursday, the workers cleaned drains after the rain and cleared debris from drainage pipe ends. They pulled maintenance on some equipment.
Workers fixed pot holes with the Dura patcher in the following areas: south by the Dodge car lot, 9th Street east of Elliott, Gaither Road by the soccer fields and other miscellaneous areas around town.
Employees dipped ditches along North Rowe, Northwest Taylor and Northwest 1st Street.
Department workers ran the street sweeper Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday south of 17th Street, on 17th, in the downtown areas and north and south of Main Street. They worked on drainage on Southridge.
Employees dug out and set up and poured 24.5 yards of concrete on Park Street. They trimmed low hanging limbs along Park Street and helped the park department set up the new shelter at Whitaker Park.
Workers set up and poured a pad for the new generator at the police department.
