Chouteau school sets bond election
Chouteau-Mazie Schools is holding an election for a $11.4 million school bond.
The special election is Tuesday, Oct. 13.
If the bond passes, the school will construct a new high school.
The school plans to complete the Early Childhood Center. The finishing details include a new computer lab, library, music room. The center will get four additional rooms for the headstart and 3-year-old programs. Classrooms for growth will be added to the facility.
The Mazie gymnasium will be enlarged. Renovation is planned for the existing bus barn. Three new buses will be purchased to replace the aging Chouteau-Mazie fleet.
Polls will be open Oct. 13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all polling places.
Polling places in Mayes County are United Methodist Church in Chouteau, Church of Christ in Chouteau, the Rural Water District building in Mazie, and Osage School west of Pryor.
The polling place in Wagoner County for Chouteau-Mazie is Flat Rock Fire Station, 31842 E. 670 Road. The polling place for Rogers County voters is Midway Baptist Church in Claremore.
Voters can vote absentee at the Rogers County Election Board office Friday, Oct. 9 or Monday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
