PRYOR —
For the fifth year in a row, Pryor Conoco owner Steve Ahmed is helping Pryor Rescue Mission provide Thanksgiving Dinner.
Ahmed is donating $300 this year, as well as soft drinks for the meal.
“I am beyond grateful for his generosity every year,” said Shirley Giles, who runs the mission.”
Ahmed makes this donation on the behalf his employees as well as himself.
“I love living in Pryor but not a lot of people are helping,” Ahmed said. “I want to help.”
Ahmed said he and his staff want everyone to have a good Thanksgiving meal.
Giles said anyone is welcome to the traditional Thanksgiving dinner at noon on Nov. 22. The meal is free.
As this is a busy time of year for the mission, donations are welcome. Some of the food items needed are: turkey, potatoes, onions, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce and any desserts. For more information call (918)825-6950.
