A Pryor woman was flown to Tulsa after a three-car collision on North Elliott Monday morning.
Sergeant James Blower, a Pryor Police Officer, said Crystal Kachura is suspected to have been under the influence of narcotics at the time of the accident.
Kachura, 21, was southbound on North Elliott when she struck two other cars at the intersection of Northeast Third.
Blower said Twila Bedner, 39, was waiting at the stopsign in her 2006 Toyota Corolla, which was southbound on North Elliott. Kachura struck Bedner from behind, throwing her into a westbound 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Reva Marler, 77. Bedner came to rest after hitting the stop sign on the southwest corner of Elliott and Third. Kachura continued into the intersection and also collided with Marler’s Cavalier.
Kachura was passed out when officers and emergency personnel arrived on scene. Responding to the wreck were Pryor Fire Department, Pryor Police Department, Mayes County Emergency Management, Mayes Emergency Services Trust Authority (MESTA) and Mayes County Sheriff’s Office.
Kachura was flown to St. John Hospital in Tulsa with head and hip injuries.
