Filing to open for council
Filing for candidacy opens soon for seven positions in Pryor city government.
Positions coming open are city clerk, city treasurer, police chief and council seats in all four wards.
Candidates may file Jan. 5 through Jan. 7, 2009 at Mayes County Election Board. Hours for filing are 8 a.m. to
5 p.m.
The general election for these offices is scheduled for March 3, 2009. If a runoff election is necessary, it will be
May 12, 2009.
Terms for all these offices will expire in 2011. For more information, contact the election board at 825-1826.
