ROCMND Area Prevention Resource Center is arranging watch parties for a campaign against methamphetamine abuse.
A documentary on meth abuse will air on every Oklahoma television station Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. The program will feature testimonials of the devastating effects meth has on families.
Oklahoma leaders announced the statewide campaign in October. Called Crystal Darkness Oklahoma, the campaign is aimed at tackling meth abuse in Oklahoma.
The campaign will highlight education, prevention, recovery and hope. Crystal Darkness Oklahoma is geared to prevent abusers from hitting rock bottom and to provide them with the tools to recover.
The goal of Crystal Darkness Oklahoma is to increase meth awareness. The campaign leaders hope to provide treatment and law enforcement assistance to Oklahoma communities.
ROCMND will have watch parties in each of their seven counties which include Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa, Rogers and Washington.
Contact ROCMND at (918) 256-7518 for more info on each party. Oklahomans can visit www.crystaldarknessoklahoma.com to schedule their own watch party.
