Registered voters in Mayes County who want to vote by mail absentee for next Tuesday’s primary election, have missed the application deadline, but they aren’t out of luck.
Voters who want to cast absentee ballots may visit the Election Board Office at Mayes County Courthouse Friday, July 25, and Monday, July 28 from
8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or Saturday, July 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., for in-person absentee voting.
In-person absentee voters must fill out a short application form. They are not required to give a reason for voting absentee. Voters are required to affirm they have not voted by regular mail absentee ballot and that they will not vote at their polling place on election day.
Contact the Election Board on the first floor of Mayes County Courthouse for more information or call 825-1826.
