Three arrested on marijuana bust
Chouteau police arrested three people after finding marijuana during a search of their residence Monday.
Arrested were Justin Browning, 25, Lindsey Rush, 23, and Sharon McIntyre, 56. McIntyre is also known as Sharon Rush.
The suspects were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of paraphernalia.
Assistant Police Chief Lynn Hershberger said the residence had been under investigation for some time. Several people in the community had contacted the police department to tell them marijuana was being sold out of the home.
A search warrant was obtained and Chouteau Police entered the house at 4:50 p.m.
All three suspects were inside the residence with an 11-month old child.
Officers found a large set of digital scales with marijuana residue in the kitchen. The dining room table had approximately half an ounce of marijuana underneath a globe which had previously covered a light bulb on the ceiling.
In another room, officers found a locked freezer. Once the
freezer was open, a bag was found inside with a little under three ounces of marijuana.
Officers found various other bags in a bedroom used to package the marijuana.
McIntyre was given a $1,000 bond by the time she reached the Mayes County Jail. However, she was booked and immediately released on her own recognizance.
Rush were given a $2,000 bond and is still in jail. She had failure to pay warrants issued for non-payment of previous court costs.
Browning was given a $5,000 bond and was released Monday at
8:22 p.m.
