A 28-year-old Spavinaw woman was arrested for allegedly hitting her three children with a mop handle.
Tania Michelle Wilson was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of child abuse by injury.
Investigator Albert McKee said the Department of Human Services notified the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office about the allegations.
The children had been hit with an object, later identified as a mop handle. Bruises were found on the children’s legs, buttocks and lower backs.
The children were turned over to their father’s care after Wilson was arrested.
She is being held in the Mayes County Jail on a $50,000 bond. Her next court date is the preliminary
hearing sounding docket on
July 24 at 9:30 a.m.
