The Strang Bridge, which began with a right-of-way acquisition in 2002, is complete. Contractors are still working in the area to complete the project, but the two-lane bridge is open for motorists. Access to the old bridge, which was built in 1922 across Grand River, is blocked. The new bridge was expected to be constructed in 2005, but several setbacks pushed the start date of construction back to November 2006.
