A 40-year-old Chouteau man was arrested Friday for allegedly sexually abusing three children under the age of 10.
Paul Robert Hause is charged with three counts of child sexual abuse.
Investigator Albert McKee, Mayes County Sheriff’s Office, said an investigation done in conjunction with the Department of Human Services (DHS) led to a confession from Hause.
“DHS was very instrumental in this investigation,” said McKee.
He said the investigation was launched after a 4-year-old girl made allegations that Hause had sexually molested her.
After interviewing the girl, McKee and DHS child welfare workers spoke with Hause.
During the interview, Hause confessed to sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy, and two girls, ages 4 and 6. McKee said he confessed to several years of ongoing abuse of the three children.
He is being held in the Mayes County jail on a $150,000 bond.
