William Howard O’Brien, Jr., 32, was arrested last week for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl.
Court records state O’Brien was charged with lewd molestation for having the 11-year-old touch his genitals around May 1, 2006.
A Grand River Dam Authority Lake Patrolman, Chris Carlson, learned of the allegations and spoke with the mother of the girl, who confirmed her daughter had told her of the alleged incident with O’Brien.
A Department of Human Services worker conducted an interview with the victim and told Carlson she believes the girl is sincere in reference to the allegations.
A warrant was issued for O’Brien’s arrest and he was booked in the Mayes County jail June 21. He was released later that day on a $10,000 bond.
