Locust Grove Middle School will host an HIV/AIDS prevention program Oct. 12 for all eighth grade
students.
The speaker for this forum is Barbara Williams from the Cherokee Nation. Williams is a community health partnership specialist for the Cherokee Nation Behavioral Health Department. House bill 1476 requires AIDS prevention education to be taught in the public schools of Oklahoma.
Participation in this presentation is voluntary. Parents and guardians who wish to withdraw their
children from participation should contact the school counselor, Kristy Ross, at (918)479-5244.
