The Boys & Girls Club in partnership with the City of Pryor/Pryor Creek Recreation Center created a door way access and installed a grease trap in the Nutrition Kitchen to help serve meals to the kids of the Boys & Girls Club. The upgrade to the Club was funded by the Cherokee Nation.
The Boys & Girls Club, located in the Recreation Center, Roosevelt School, Chouteau and Locust Grove will be closed Aug. 6 through Aug. 17, and will reopen Aug. 20 after school.
Due to increased cost to operate the clubs and decreased government funding, rates have increased per child to $25 per month with a cap of $75 per family.
Scholarship applications will be available for those not able to pay, and will be reviewed individually to determine eligibility. Memberships will be limited to 100 per club, after which a waiting list will be created.
