A personal injury collision involving a 2000 Freightliner, a 1998 Kenworth, a 1997 Jeep Cherokee and a 2005 Freightliner ended with four people hospitalized.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports, the Freightliner, driven by Timothy Michael Murphy, was eastbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike when he ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and went through the center retaining wall. Murphy’s trailer was left in the eastbound lane while the cab went onto the westbound lane. Murphy’s truck was struck by a Kenworth driven by Ioan Inderisan who was then struck by the Cherokee driven by Steven Vann. Vann’s vehicle was then struck by the second Freightliner, driven by Robert Rexroat.
According to the OHP, Murphy was lifeflighted to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa with head, arm, leg, trunk internal and trunk external injuries in poor condition.
Inderisan was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Craig General Hospital in Vinita with leg, head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries in good condition and has been released. His passenger Viorica Inderisan was taken to Craig General with arm, leg and head injuries. She was treated and released.
Vann was taken by Air Evac to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in poor condition.
