Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church has invited the community for a day of fun, eating, fellowship and fireworks.
The church, located 5 1/2 miles east of Locust Grove, is hosting an October Gospel Festival Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the new church site just west of the current building. The event will help raise money for a new church.
There will be crafts, games, bake sale, hog fry, gospel music and a fireworks finale. The morning will start with crafters setting up at
8 a.m. Set-up fees will be by donation. All crafters are welcome. Selling will begin at 10 a.m.
Games for kids and adults will also begin at 10 a.m. There will be a Jupiter Jump, train rides and camel rides. The adults will also be able to enjoy the games. A minnow race is planned as well as a dunk tank.
Concessions will be available. Throughout the day, the women from the church will be selling baked goods. Money raised will go to the church building fund.
The hog fry will begin at 1 p.m. with beans, cornbread, cobbler and a drink. Cost of the meal is by donation.
At 2 p.m., the gospel music will begin. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The day will wrap up with a fireworks finale at 7:30 p.m.
