Ryan Travis Elliott, 32, Salina, was in Mayes County District Court Monday charged with cruelty to animals. Elliott pleaded not guilty. The case was set on the preliminary hearing sounding docket June 7. Elliott was free on $5,000 bond. Elliot is alleged to have beaten his dog with a club and thrown it up in the air at his home in Salina on March 11.
