Vinita, OK —
VINITA – Greg Grodhaus (Grove) will serve as the new chairman of the Grand River Dam Authority Board of Directors. Grodhaus takes over the spot from outgoing Chairman Steve Spears (Cushing). The change in leadership occurred during the GRDA Board’s Sept. 12 meeting in Vinita. Also during that meeting, Chris Meyers (Edmond) was named chair-elect.
The new chairman, Grodhaus, was appointed to the GRDA Board in May 2011 by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and had served as chair-elect since September 2011. Prior to retirement, he spent nearly 40 years in the information technology industry and served as chief executive officer of several firms. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and has served on the boards of multiple public and private charitable organizations.
Meyers, the board’s electric cooperative representative, is also the general manager of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is a registered professional engineer in Oklahoma and has worked in the electric utility industry for nearly 30 years.
